Impressionist Painter of Light & Color
A native of Southern California, Sally O'Neill has lived in the foothills of the Northern Oregon Cascades since 1991. It is here that she finds much of her inspiration. Sunshine and warmth dominate her paintings as influences from her life in California slip into her Northwest landscapes and floral pieces.
“ It is about capturing the beauty of a place or thing for me. My vision is to elicit the splendor that surrounds us all. As an admirer of the impressionists, I am obsessed with light, color and atmosphere. Through the layering of color and texture, I strive to achieve the influence of light at varying moments of the day. My aspiration is to bring the viewer into a world they would love to be in.”
